Lights, camera, action! In our spring “PERFORM with New Tech Media” class, you’ll take center stage as you showcase your transformed creations to the world. Learn the art of digital storytelling as you craft a professional music video, a mesmerizing infinite zoom animation, or a compelling commercial featuring your 3D-printed design and AI-enhanced transformation. Get hands-on experience with professional video equipment like Padcasters, Insta360 cameras and iPads to bring your vision to life. By the end of this session, you’ll have a polished, professional-quality video project that demonstrates your journey from concept to creation to performance, all while mastering the latest in media technology.
Learning Objectives: in this class, students will:
- Gain expertise in cutting-edge media and AI-enhanced technology;
- Develop skills in digital storytelling;
- Learn to operate professional video equipment, including Padcasters, Insta360 cameras, and iPads;
- Practice reframing, editing, and composing 360-degree camera shots in various digital formats;
- Explore VR and 3D printing to design and create personal art and projects;
- The art of the peer critique and give peer critiques on the progress of student work;
- Opportunities and potential resources on career pathways;
- How to distribute, exhibit, and promote artwork for a variety of audiences.
