Students will learn to use a variety of cameras both regular 2d and 360 to capture footage to become proficient in using After Effects.
In this 9-week class, students will
- Explore the basic editing tools available in After Effects
- Explore text and lighting effects with Video Copilot’s After Effects Saber plugin
- Fly drones with an assortment of cameras to capture footage to edit in After Effects
- Use drone footage and 360 camera footage in After Effects
- Use a cinema grade camera to capture footage for use in After Effects (with sliders and stabilizing equipment)
- Incorporate 3d tracking of footage to add 3D objects into scenes
- 3d scan objects to use as assets or digital holographic wireframes
- Utilize green screens in After Effects
- Mix practical and digital effects in After Effects
- Learn to do MoCap facial tracking with an iPhone or iPad
- Apply facial tracking to digital avatars in videos
