Class Description

Students will learn to use and generate prints from resin and FFF style 3d printers in a variety of materials. They will learn to use various CAD and design programs on computers, iPads, and even VR to design and modify prints. Electronics/robotics, musical instruments, prop/costume making, drones, wearables, and various mechanical systems will be explored in these designs. Some camera work involving prints will be explored as well including: 3d print time-lapses, 3d printed camera mounts, and web cam print monitoring/control over the internet. Various 3d scan techniques will be explored.
