Step into the Surreal and create imaginary worlds with Photoshop tips, tricks, techniques, and tools. Learn how to retouch portraits, combine multiple images, apply creative coloring, and make the imagined a reality!
Learning Objectives: in this class, students will learn about

- Students will explore fundamentals of photo editing in Adobe Photoshop.
- How to key out images
- How to change light and match color themes.
- Exploration of science fiction and fantasy lighting fundamentals.
- Students will explore how to create a Matte painting in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Fresco.
- Students will explore various science fiction and fantasy artists and their art and Matte paintings.
- Students will explore the art of photo bashing while utilizing their own sourced images and paint brushes.
- The art of the peer critique and give peer critiques on the progress of student work.
- Opportunities and potential resources on career pathways.
- How to distribute, exhibit, and promote artwork for a variety of audiences.

Deliverables: Students’ and Class Projects
- Students will explore the fundamental aspects of creating a photo- surrealistic science- fiction and fantasy scenes.
- By exploring and utilizing the fundamentals of graphic design in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Fresco, and photography: line, shape, space, movement, color, contrast, and hierarchy, students will explore variations of fantasy castles, and space ships each week.
