Class Description
Level up your art game and bring your imagination to life in this dynamic digital illustration class! Whether sketching epic characters, designing streetwear graphics, or learning to visually tell your story, this hands-on, creative lab will teach you the tools pro artists use daily. You’ll master Adobe Photoshop and Procreate, design eye-catching illustrations for your portfolio, and can transform your digital artwork into physical merch. From fantasy art to graphic novels, from custom stickers to wearable patches – you’ll leave with digital files and/or tangible creations to showcase your unique style. No experience is needed—bring your creativity, and we’ll provide the rest!
Learning Objectives: in this class, students will learn about
- Master the process of visual storytelling, from thumbnail sketches to final artwork;
- Develop your unique artistic voice and style;
- Learn to use key illustration software tools Adobe Photoshop and Procreate;
- Apply elements of art and principles of design to digital illustration;
- How to build a strong portfolio showcasing your digital illustration skills;
- The art of the peer critique and give peer critiques on the progress of student work;
- Opportunities and potential resources on career pathways for illustration;
- How to distribute, exhibit, and promote artwork for a variety of audiences.

Deliverables: Students and Class Projects
- Weekly exercises exploring Adobe Photoshop and Procreate software;
- Students will create a mini-digital illustration portfolio, featuring 2–3 original pieces that showcase their artistic style and technical skills;
- Their final portfolio can be presented as digital files and/or printed pieces, making it suitable for personal branding!
