Class Description
This class will teach students how to create a podcast, including all the aspects to putting together a show. The class will explore recording, editing, hosting and overall production. Many of these skills will transfer to writing and producing music, recording live events, as well as capturing audio for video.
Learning Objectives: in this class, students will learn about
- The process of capturing clean audio;
- How to edit and mix audio;
- Creating sound effects;
- Constructing a show;
- Being a good host and guest;
- How advertising works in podcasting
- How to register, post, and promote a show
- The art of the peer critique and give peer critiques on the progress of student work;
- Opportunities and potential resources on career pathways;
- How to distribute, exhibit, and promote artwork for a variety of audiences.
